There are three main components that determine the winner of the Golden Briefcase:

1. Total Volunteer Hours (40%)
2. Total Money Raised (40%)
3. Results from Athletic Competitions at the C4C Weekend (20%)

Scoring for Volunteer Hours and Money Raised is done on a per capita basis. Thus, if a school has:

• 300 full-time MBA students
• Raises $30,000 in donations
• Volunteers 900 total hours
• They are scored as having raised $100 and volunteered 3 hours per student

Scoring for the athletic competition is based off a number of criteria agreed upon by the eight schools and the Board of Directors.
